There is no single definition for stress, but the most common explanation is a physical, mental, or emotional strain or tension. While not all stress is bad, long-term stress can have harmful impacts on physical and mental health.
We held an important workshop focused on raising stress awareness and the impact that stress can have on all of us. We paid attention to recognizing the signs of stress and knowing how to overcome them. We learned about techniques for dealing with stress in a healthy way, and how to face everyday challenges more easily.
The workshop was held by our colleague Milena our Talent Development Specialist.
‘’Besides thriving as technical professionals, at the end of the day our employees are just human beings facing stressful days, lacking motivation and facing difficult challenges that affect their work productivity and overall well-being. I think we need to focus more on building awareness in our employees about stress and its consequences. When we have developed awareness, we can further develop skills for effective coping and management.
That’s why besides defining what stress is and how to recognize it, I chose to do with them a skill-building exercise called ‘Body Scanning’, which is a powerful relaxation technique that helps in reducing stress and building body awareness. By mentally scanning yourself, you bring awareness to every single part of your body, noticing any aches, pains, tension, or general discomfort. The goal is not to relieve the pain completely, but to get to know and learn from it so you can better manage it”-Milena Blazeska, Talent Development Specialist.
Stress can have a negative impact on health, social and professional life, that’s why we at Axapta Masters recognize the extreme importance of raising stress awareness.
